As you would have guessed by now, I am a huge fan of quick, no-fuss and yummy recipes. Apart from 3-minute instant noodles - which my mom says I am not supposed to have too often - here's something satisfying and almost as simple that I cook every now and then - Meat and Vege Dumplings in Spicy Sauce.
My favourite combo would have to be minced pork and chinese chives. Mix them up with some soy sauce, 5 spice powder, rice wine, sesame seed oil and cornstarch. Wrap in wanton wrappers. Boil till done and serve in a sauce of dried chili oil, light soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, sugar and fried shallots (lots of it).

lucky that you´ve got wantan wrapper there, or did you import them from malaysia? lol, which part of france you in?
Hey Lianne. Yes, I am able to find almost everything I need here in Lille, except century eggs (I miss "Pei Dan Chook", ready-to-use Sambal Balachan and frozen Roti Prata. I even found Ikan Bilis last week and had a blast cooking Nasi Lemak! When I was living in Paris, I used to go to Tang Freres, the biggest asian grocery store in Europe. A lot more goodies available there. Bring a large shopping bag if you are in Paris.
And by the way, Lianne, if you miss anything badly, let me know. I could try posting them to you if they are available here... dried and light stuff only though :0)

Thanks for the offer! I´ve just sent a list back to Msia hehe, and should be arriving soon. If Ahhh Paris, its lovely .. all the food stuffs are there. Is it in China town? I think I´ve been there. The place is huge and there´s a departmental store for asian stuff too, right?
